Meili Construction Inc., an Equal Opportunity Employer, will be accepting sealed, e-mailed or faxed bids from licensed and bonded contractors on behalf of Linn-Benton Housing Authority (also an Equal Opportunity Employer), for the construction of a new 3-story, 30-unit apartment building, called Valor Place Apts. Anticipated construction start is September 2024. Contracts will be awarded for the entire scope of work including, but not limited to, site excavation, concrete, metal fab, structural steel, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, insulation, siding, roofing, doors & windows, drywall, flooring, painting, appliances, window coverings, casework and countertops. Licensed Contractors, Section 3 Certified Contractors and all Minority, Women Owned, Small Emerging Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate in this solicitation.
Copies of the Specifications, Drawings and Bid Documents can be viewed at Meili Construction, 10 Van Buren St. Eugene, OR. Electronic copies of the plans may be viewed or downloaded for printing on Meili Construction’s electronic plan room site. A set of documents may also be obtained at the Eugene Builders Exchange, Salem Contractors Exchange & the DJC Plan Center.
Bids will be received at the offices of Meili Construction no later than 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 24th, 2024. Bids will be publicly opened immediately following. Meili Construction intends to bid the following: Division 3, Package #1 & #2, Division 6, Package #1 & #4, Division 7, Package #3 & #5, Division 9, Package #3 and Division #31, Package #1 and Division #33, Package #1 & #2.
All bids are subject to the BOLI Prevailing Wage Rates and all related requirements. No bid will be received or considered unless it contains a statement by the bidder that they will comply with provisions of 40 U.S.C 276a. Meili Construction may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public procurement procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause any or all submittals upon a finding of the project team that it is in the public interest to do so.
